Hug – 2020 Saskatoon

With all the travel restrictions combined with a great snowfall, it was time to once again do a sculpture at home.

Hug“This sculpture is called Hug and it really sort of related to everybody being socially distant and holiday time and no one really getting that human contact with family and friends. Everybody would just kind of like to have a hug and get together.” I was quoted in an interview with CTV News.

This sculpture was unique in that the form was filled back in November after a very big snowstorm, but due to warm weather I didn’t start sculpting until Dec 24th finishing on Dec 31st. I have had to repair it a couple of times due to the warm weather.
