Pathways – 2017 Edmonton

Posted in : sculpture, snow on by : admin

We attended the Silver Skate International Snow Sculpture Festival in Edmonton, Alberta.

The name of the piece is PATHWAYS.

The description is:
A Canadian legacy of connecting our vast country and bringing people closer together in a spirit of exploration and unity.

People have been creating pathways across this great nation for over 150 years. From the voyagers exploring spirit to the railways that connected us from coast to coast to the multiple highways and bridges we’ve built to connect our communities and the invention of the telephone that connects us without having to travel, these pathways help bridge our nation as one community.

The block was 8ft x 8ft x 8ft. I carved with Kim Strange and Terry Ouellette.
